Ray-Ban Meta Optics action button, shown in blue, at the end of the capture button on the top right side of the glasses frame near the temple.

Ray-Ban Meta Optics glasses have a configurable action button located on top of the right temple arm which you can customize in the Meta AI mobile app.

Here are just a few examples of what you can configure the action button to do:

  • Activate Meta AI (example: to start a live AI session)
  • Use a custom Meta AI prompt for a frequent question (example: You can configure the action button to respond to “What’s the wind speed and direction at my location?”)
  • Get real-time activity stats from a connected Garmin device (example: hear your heart rate, distance or average speed)
  • Capture with alternate video modes (example: record a slow motion or hyperlapse video)

To configure the action button:

  1. From the Meta AI mobile app, tap Glasses in the top right.
  2. Tap Device settings.
    • If you have multiple devices paired with the Meta AI mobile app, swipe left or right to select your Ray-Ban Meta Optics before tapping Device settings.
  3. Scroll down and tap Customize controls, then tap Action button.
  4. Tap the action you want to configure the action button for.

Once you’ve set up the action button, you can press it at any time to trigger the selected action. You can change the action button configuration at any time from the Meta AI mobile app.
