Note: Wall adapter and USB-C cord are not included. You can use any standard USB-C cord and wall adapter.

Set up the Meta Glasses Charging Stand

  1. Place the charging stand on a flat, stable surface like a desk or nightstand.
  2. Connect USB-C cable to the port on the charging stand.
  3. Plug the other end of the cable into a wall adapter or powered USB port.
  4. The LED on the stand will briefly light up white to confirm it's powered on.

Charge your glasses

  1. Close the temple arms on your glasses.
  2. Place the glasses onto the charging dock.
  3. The LED on the stand will light up to confirm charging has started.

If the LED doesn't light up when docking your glasses, try the following troubleshooting steps:

  1. Make sure the USB-C cable is securely connected to both the stand and a power source.
  2. Check that your glasses are properly seated flat on the stand with the temple arms closed.
  3. Undock and re-dock your glasses.

LED status indicators

The LED on the charging stand shows the current charging status:

LED color

Status

White (solid)

Stand is powered on

Orange (solid)

Charging in progress — battery between 20% and 95%

Green (solid)

Charging nearly complete — battery above 95%

Red (blinking)

Error — liquid detected or other issue (see note below)

Note: Blinking red means liquid has been detected on the charging contacts. Remove your glasses and dry both the glasses and the stand with a soft cloth. Wait a few minutes before docking again.

Charging times

Charge level

Estimated time

0% to 50%

22 minutes

0% to 100%

75 minutes

Note: If the charging stand isn’t charging your glasses but the LED is orange, power cycle your glasses by turning them off and then back on again. If your glasses battery is 0%, use the charging case until you can power cycle your glasses.

Firmware updates

The charging stand receives firmware updates automatically through your glasses. When an update is available:

  1. Dock your glasses on the stand for at least 5 minutes.
  2. The update will begin automatically.
  3. Keep your glasses on the stand until the update is complete (about 30 seconds).

If you remove your glasses during a firmware update, the LED on the stand may become unresponsive (example: the LED stays on after you remove glasses from the charging stand).

To fix an unresponsive LED, dock your glasses on the charging stand for at least 1 minute. The update will resume and complete automatically and the LED will return to normal functionality.

Care and maintenance

You can clean the charging stand with a dry microfiber cloth. If liquid is spilled on the stand, unplug the stand, dry it off and wait about 5 minutes before using it again.
