Meta AI is now available in English, French, Italian, and Spanish languages in the US, Canada, Australia, UK, France, Italy, Spain, and Ireland. The ability to use Meta AI to ask about what you see is only available in English in the US, Canada, and Australia.
You can share photos and videos hands-free to your Facebook and Instagram Story in these new languages by saying "Hey Meta, share a photo to my Facebook Story" or "Hey Meta, share my last video to my Instagram Story". You can also use hands-free voice messaging on Whatsapp and Messenger in French, Italian, and Spanish.
New voice options are available for Meta AI on Ray-Ban Meta glasses. The list now includes celebrities like Awkwafina, John Cena, Judi Dench (UK only), Keegan-Michael Key, and Kristen Bell. To find the new voices, go to Settings in the Meta View app and tap Meta AI, then tap Language and voice.
Adaptive volume automatically adjusts your glasses volume based on your surrounding environmental noise levels. To use adaptive volume, go to Settings in the Meta View app, tap Audio, then tap Adaptive volume.
Media shared directly from your glasses is now much higher quality. Photos you share from glasses will have improved exposure, contrast, and color balance to create more natural-looking and visually appealing photos. To share from your glasses, say "Hey Meta, share a photo.”
You can share photos to your Close Friends list on Instagram Stories by saying "Hey Meta, share a photo to my Close Friends story on Instagram" or "Hey Meta, share the last photo to my Close Friends story on Instagram.” You can set up Close Friends in your settings on Instagram.
You can now play music and podcasts on Spotify using your voice. Try asking "Hey Meta, play something relaxing." This feature is available in the US and Canada.
We’ve made improvements to voice controls for Amazon Music. Try asking “Hey Meta, play some music.” This feature is available in the US and Canada.
You now have the option to pick your default music provider so you no longer have to specify the provider name when you ask Meta AI to play music. This feature is available in the US and Canada.
Identify what music is playing around you. Just ask “Hey Meta, what is this song?” This feature is available in the US and Canada.
Be My Eyes - Call a Volunteer connects those who are blind or low vision with a Be My Eyes’ sighted volunteer who can assist in helping with everyday tasks, like adjusting a thermostat, or sorting and reading mail. After you connect Be My Eyes to the Meta View app, you can say "Hey Meta, call a volunteer on Be My Eyes" and your glasses will start a hands-free video call with a sighted volunteer who can see what’s in front of you through the glasses video camera on your behalf. Live streaming on Android now supports higher quality by streaming over Wi-Fi. Make sure your phone’s Wi-Fi is enabled and hotspot and VPN are disabled.

During a live AI session, Meta AI can see what you see continuously and converse with you more naturally than ever before. Get real-time, hands-free help and inspiration with everyday activities like meal prep, gardening, or exploring a new neighborhood. Learn more about how to use this feature.
Have a conversation or listen to audio in another language in real time. You’ll hear the translation through your glasses, and your responses will be translated for your partner in the Meta View app. Learn more about how to use this feature.
These features and improvements will become available starting the week of November 11, 2024.
You can now scan a QR code with your glasses by saying, "Hey Meta, scan this QR code," and you'll receive a notification on your phone that opens the associated link.
You can also instantly call or message phone numbers that you see by saying, "Hey Meta, call this number" or "Hey Meta, message this number."
You can now ask Meta AI to remember things for you. Create reminders with a photo to capture details from what you see or just use your voice for thoughts or info that come to mind. For example, you can say things like “Hey Meta, remember this hotel room number.”
To retrieve details about your reminders, say something like “Hey Meta, search my reminders for my Hotel room number,” or “What are my upcoming reminders?”. You can view and manage your reminders in the Meta View app. Learn more about reminders.
You can send a video of up to 15 seconds to your contacts directly from your glasses. For example, say “Hey Meta, take a video and send it to Julie” to send a video. Videos can be sent using WhatsApp, Messenger, or your phone. Make sure your WhatsApp and Messenger apps are up to date and linked to your glasses.
You can now share Meta AI responses to Facebook and Instagram Stories or contacts using your voice. After asking Meta AI a question just say “Hey Meta, send that to Instagram,” or “Hey Meta, send that to Facebook.”
Your glasses can now announce who is calling you and from what app when you receive an incoming call over cellular, Messenger, or WhatsApp. To use this feature, you must have at least one communication app linked.
You can turn on incoming call announcements from Communication in device settings in the Meta View app.
If you’re in Australia, you can now access Meta AI to seek information and ask questions about what you see. If you’re in the UK, you can engage with Meta AI using just your voice.
Now you can ask Meta AI about what you see without needing to say "look and."
You can now ask Meta AI about the music currently playing on your glasses. Try saying “Hey Meta, what song is this?”

Now you can make another request to your glasses after the first one without needing to say ‘Hey Meta’ again. Your glasses and mic will stay on and listen for a brief period after each request is complete. This feature will be on by default but you can turn it off from the Settings menu in the Meta View app.
Get real-time info on the Paris Olympics, including medal counts, event times, results and athlete bios. You can also ask questions about your favorite athletes and games from past events. For example, ask “Hey Meta, which country is leading the gold medal in gymnastics?”
We are adding a setting to make it easier to recognize previously unrecognized tracks and enhance your Apple Music experience. To turn this on, go to Settings in the Meta View app, select Apple Music and turn on Improved Music Search.
The feature is now supported in French and Italian in addition to English. Your glasses can capture and share photos completely hands-free to your Instagram Story. From the Meta View app, go to Settings, then tap Communication and connect your Instagram account. You can now set a maximum video length of up to 3 min. To get started, go to Settings in the Meta View app and tap Camera, then tap Video length and select when your glasses will automatically stop recording. Learn more.

You can now require confirmation before calling, messaging or sharing from glasses. From the Meta View app, go to Settings, then Glasses privacy and tap Auto-lock contacts.

In the Meta View app go to Settings, then Communication and connect your Instagram account. You can then say “Hey Meta, share a photo to my Instagram Story” or “Hey Meta, share my last photo to Instagram.” Learn more.
Your glasses can now read out your text messages when you say “Hey Meta, read it” after receiving a message announcement.

With Meta AI you can ask your glasses questions about the world around you. You can also take a photo, either by voice or by using the capture button, and within a few seconds say “Hey Meta…” to ask a question about the photo.
You could ask Meta AI for the English translations of a sign you’re looking at in Italian, what’s the name of the houseplant you’re looking at, or to write a funny caption for the photo you just took of a dog chasing its own tail. There are lots of things Meta AI can do, and we’re working on expanding that list over time. Learn more.

Issues preventing users in the Early Access program from sharing photos using voice have been resolved.
We've made updates to noise reduction, auto exposure and color rendering. Your photos and videos will look sharper and clearer in lower light, and you'll see improvements in sharpness and dynamic range for driving and on the go captures.
Now you can control the volume of all sounds in one place on your glasses. We’ve added the ability to control the volume of voice commands and other sounds by swiping up and down on the glasses touchpad on your right temple arm.

Look and ask with Meta AI is the first feature being added to the Early Access program. With this feature you can take a photo with your glasses and ask for suggestions or information. Learn more.
Meta AI on the glasses can now retrieve real-time information powered in part by Bing. You’ll be able to ask it for anything from sports scores to information on local landmarks and restaurants, stocks, and more. Real-time search is rolling out in phases to Ray-Ban Meta glasses customers in the US.
