How to save memories with Meta AI using Ray-Ban Meta glasses

Updated: Saving memories with Meta AI on Ray-Ban Meta glasses is currently available in English in the US and Canada.
While chatting with Meta AI on your Ray-Ban Meta glasses, Meta AI can remember details about you to generate more relevant responses to your chats.
As you speak with Meta AI, you can ask it to remember a specific fact (example: “Remember I like swimming”) or Meta AI will save certain memories by itself (example: if you mention you like swimming, Meta AI will save that without you having to ask). We save memories if they are useful for providing more relevant answers.
Meta AI can remember facts about you like:
- Where you live
- Relationship status
- Birthday
- Dietary preferences
- The types of books you enjoy
Details that contain inappropriate information or are unsafe in nature can’t be saved. If Meta AI can’t save a detail you ask it to save, it’ll tell you it can’t be saved. You can delete details Meta AI saves about you at any time using a voice command or from settings in the Meta AI app.
To manage memories using your Ray-Ban Meta glasses:
- To save a memory about you, you can tell Meta AI to remember something about you, or take a picture and tell Meta AI to remember something about you based on the picture (examples: "Hey Meta, remember that I’m vegan,” “Hey Meta, remember that I like this book.”)
- To update a saved memory, you can tell Meta AI the update you would like to make (example: “Hey Meta, I no longer like historical fiction books. Autobiographies are my favorite now.”)
- To delete a saved memory, you can tell Meta AI to forget the memory (example: “Hey Meta, forget I’m vegan.”)
To manage saved memories using the Meta AI mobile app:
- From the Meta AI mobile app, tap your profile picture in the top right.
- Tap Memory below Meta AI settings.
- From here, you can view all of your saved memories.
- To delete a memory, tap Manage in the top right, tap next to the memories you want to delete, tap
in the bottom right, then tap Delete.
- When you delete memories, a notification will appear at the bottom confirming the deletion. You can tap Tell us why on the notification to provide feedback so we can train and improve AI chats.
