Meta AI mobile app and location services on Android and iOS devices

Location permission is required to connect to your glasses using Wi-Fi on certain Android versions and iOS mobile devices in order to use features such as media import, glasses updates, geotagging on photos, videos and reminders, and location-based features like navigation and find device for all Meta devices you’ve connected to the app.

Location data from navigation is used for product improvement and debugging. This data isn’t associated with your Meta account.

If you choose to "always-allow” location permission access on the Meta AI app, location data from your phone can be used to enhance your experience when you are using your glasses even without having your phone screen on and the Meta AI app open.
