You can watch reels on Meta Ray-Ban Display by connecting Instagram in the Meta AI mobile app. You can like, save, and share reels with your top contacts.

If you don’t see reels available on your glasses, make sure you’ve updated your glasses and the Meta AI mobile app to the latest versions.

How to connect Instagram

  1. From the Meta AI mobile app, tap Glasses in the top right.
  2. Tap Device settings.
    • If you have multiple devices paired with the Meta AI mobile app, swipe left or right to select the device you want to adjust settings for before tapping Device settings.
  3. Tap Communication.
  4. Tap Connect next to Instagram.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions.

How to watch reels on your glasses

Once you’ve connected Instagram in the Meta AI mobile app, there are multiple ways you can watch reels on your glasses:

  • With your glasses on, you can say “Hey Meta, open reels, or “Hey Meta, go to reels.”
  • From the app launcher, select Instagram to open reels.

You can also access your Instagram direct messages:

  1. Go back by tapping middle finger on thumb using Meta Neural Band, or tap with two fingers on your glasses touchpad.
  2. Swipe over and select Message.

Here are some tips for improving your reels viewing experience:

  • Keep your devices and apps updated.
    • Make sure to keep Meta Ray-Ban Display and mobile applications (Meta AI and Instagram) updated for the latest features, performance improvements and bug fixes.
  • Check your network connection.
    • Ensure you have a stable and strong internet connection for the best experience.
  • Keep your phone nearby with the screen off or locked.
  • Change your connection type.
    • We recommend using a 5GHz Wi-Fi connection for the best reels quality. If 5GHz Wi-Fi is not available, switching to a cellular (LTE) connection may improve quality. Keep in mind, wireless carrier charges may apply if using an LTE connection.
  • Disconnect other Bluetooth devices.
    • Disconnecting other connected devices, like Bluetooth headphones, might improve performance.
