Certain features, like sharing from your glasses using your voice (“Hey Meta, send a photo”), may require sending your photos and videos to Meta’s cloud for processing and temporary storage. Your media will be temporarily stored in the cloud for 30 days before being automatically deleted. You can manage cloud media from Device settings at any time in the Meta AI mobile app.

To turn cloud media processing on or off:

  1. From the Meta AI mobile app, tap Glasses in the top right.
  2. Tap Device settings.
    • If you have multiple devices paired with the Meta AI mobile app, swipe left or right to select the device you want to adjust settings for before tapping Device settings.
  3. Swipe down and tap Glasses privacy.
  4. Tap the toggle next to Cloud media to turn this feature on or off.
    • If this is your first time turning on Cloud media, you’ll be shown additional information about the feature before being asked to confirm whether or not you want to turn it on.

Note: Deleting photos or videos in Gallery will also delete them from the cloud as well as your phone's photo app.
