Share a link or delete a link you shared to a conversation you had with Meta AI

The Meta AI and Vibes apps and websites are not yet available everywhere. If they are available for you, some features may not yet be available in your area.

When you have a chat with Meta AI you can share a link to that conversation. People with the link will be able to see your conversation.

To share a link to a conversation

  1. While chatting with Meta AI, tap More in the top right.
  2. Tap Share a link.
  3. Tap how you’d like to share the link, or tap Copy link to copy the link to your conversation.

When you share a link, your conversation with Meta AI will be captured at the point you created the link. The link doesn’t expire and people can share the link. People with the link can only see your conversation up to the point when you created the link. If you send more messages to your conversation with Meta AI, you can reshare the link to update it.

You can also share a link to videos you create with Meta AI.

To share a video you created with Meta AI

  1. Open the Meta AI app.
  2. Tap Menu in the top left, then tap Media.
  3. Tap Creations to see your videos.
  4. Tap the video you’d like to share, then tap Share in the top right.
  5. Tap how you’d like to share the link, or tap Copy link to copy the link to your video.

If you share a link to a conversation you had with Meta AI, or videos you created with Meta AI, you can delete the link without deleting the original conversation or media.

To delete a link to a conversation

  1. Open the Meta AI app.
  2. Tap Menu in the top left.
  3. Under Chats, tap the conversation with the link you’d like to delete.
  4. Tap Menu in the top right, then tap Delete link.

If you delete the link to a conversation, or delete the original conversation, people who received the link won’t be able to see the conversation.

To delete a link to a video

  1. Open the Meta AI app.
  2. Tap Menu in the top left, then tap Media.
  3. Tap Creations to see your videos.
  4. Tap the video with the link you’d like to delete.
  5. Tap Menu on the media, then tap Delete link.
  6. Tap Delete link.

  • Depending on your prompt, the content generated may go against our Community Standards or Terms of Service of Meta's platforms. Sharing AI-generated content on our platforms that go against these standards will be treated the same as sharing other content that go against our standards. If you share generated content that goes against our standards, your content may be removed and your account may be restricted or disabled.   • Depending on your region, your interactions with AI products can be used to personalize content and ads.
  • Be mindful when sharing a link to a conversation if you’ve discussed personal information or circumstances with Meta AI.
