Turn off or retake setup photos for AI images of you on the Meta AI app

This feature is in development and being gradually introduced in the United States. It may not be available to you yet.
Meta AI will only generate images of you when you ask, but you can still turn this feature off at any time. Turning this off will delete your setup photos and you will need to retake your photos if you turn this feature back on.
Turn off AI images of you on the Meta AI app
- At the top right, tap your profile.
- Under Meta AI settings, tap create image of me.
- Tap
Toggle next to Create AI images of yourself with Meta AI to turn off this feature and delete your photos.
Retake your setup photos for AI-generated images of you
- At the top right, tap your profile.
- Under Meta AI settings, tap create image of me.
- Tap Retake your photos, then follow the on-screen prompts to retake your photos.
Note:
- Similar to other chats, interactions with AI are subject to our Community Standards and Terms of Service.
- An AI’s response may be inaccurate or inappropriate and should not be used to make important decisions.
- Meta uses your interactions with AIs to improve AI at Meta. If the AIs cannot answer your query, Meta shares the messages you send to AI and general information, like your region, with select partners so you can get better results. Visit our Meta AI Terms of Service to learn more.
- Meta AI uses your location information to give you more relevant responses. Your location information is based on things like the settings you've chosen on your device, or your activity across our products. Learn more about how to manage your location in the Privacy Center.
- Other information from your profile such as your age and gender, and interests based on your activity across our products, such as the types of content, including ads, you view or interact with and how you interact with it, will be used to help personalize your interactions with AI. - Depending on your prompt, the content generated may go against our Community Standards or Terms of Service of Meta's platforms. Sharing AI-generated content on our platforms that go against these standards will be treated the same as sharing other content that go against our standards. If you share generated content that goes against our standards, your content may be removed and your account may be restricted or disabled.
