Toggle the Full-duplex demo on or off on Meta AI

The Meta AI app and www.meta.ai website is not yet available everywhere. If the Meta AI app and www.meta.ai website are available for you, some features may not yet be available in your area.
When you have a voice conversation with Meta AI and you have the Full-duplex demo turned on, Meta AI will respond to you with a more natural, conversational tone. Meta AI will add pauses, filler words, expressions and more to mimic a natural conversation. The Full-duplex demo is best suited for conversations with Meta AI and is not meant as a source of real-time information or search requests. While using the Full-duplex demo, Meta AI can not access information or events past August 2024.
To toggle the Full-duplex demo on or off
- In the Meta AI app, tap
on the bottom.
- Tap your profile picture in the top right.
- Swipe down and tap
Voice.
- Toggle

Keep in mind: The Full-duplex demo is currently experimental and may not provide the latest or most accurate results. You may also encounter technical issues or inconsistencies while it's experimental and some Meta AI features may not be available, including:
- Using information from the internet in responses
- Generating images
- Saving details about you
- Using saved details about you in responses
- Personalizing responses for you

- An AI’s response may be inaccurate or inappropriate and should not be used to make important decisions.
- For certain features, Meta may use your feedback and messages shared with Meta AI to provide and improve AI at Meta. - Sometimes, an AI may use your location information to give you more relevant responses. Your location information is based on things like the settings you've chosen on your device, or your activity across our products. Learn more about how to manage your location in the Privacy Center.
- Other information from your profile like your age and gender, and interests based on your activity across our products, such as the types of content, including ads, you view or interact with and how you interact with it, may be used to help personalize your interactions with AI. - Depending on your prompt, the images generated may go against our Community Standards or Terms of Service of Meta's platforms. Sharing AI-generated images on our platforms that go against these standards will be treated the same as sharing other content that go against our standards. If you share generated images that go against our standards, your image may be removed and your account may be restricted or disabled.
