Edit a video on Meta AI and Vibes
You can edit a video with Meta AI on the Meta AI and Vibes apps and websites, re-generating it with a whole new style based on your selected options. The maximum length for your video is 10 seconds.
You can:
- Edit videos you upload.
- Edit a video you previously generated on Meta AI or Vibes.
- Remix an edited video and apply the original creator's editing choices to your own video.
To edit an uploaded video with Meta AI
- Open the Meta AI app.
- Tap
Create in the top right.
- Tap
and select your video.
- If your video is longer than 10 seconds, you’ll need to trim it down to 10 seconds by sliding the
Clip Brackets to the moment you’d like to edit.
- Tap Next.
- At the bottom, tap an option for how you’d like to edit your video, then tap Generate. You can select from a variety of fashion, location, and style options to edit your video.
To edit a previously generated video
- Open the Meta AI app.
- Tap
Menu in the top left, then tap
Media.
- Tap the video you’d like to edit, then tap how you’d like to edit the video.
- Edit: Regenerate your video with a new detailed prompt. Tap Edit, then send a detailed prompt of how you’d like it to be animated.
- Extend: Extend the length of your video. Tap Extend.
- Music: Add music to your video. Tap Music, then search for the song you’d like to use. Slide the time selector to choose what section of the song to play.
- Lip sync: Add lip syncing to make a video that includes a face talk or sing. Learn more about lip sync.
- Voice: Add audio over top of any video. Learn more about voiceovers.
- Restyle: Re-generate your video according to a variety of fashion, location and style options. Tap Restyle, then tap the option you’d like.
- Tap how you’d like to edit your video, then tap Generate.
You can also add music to a previously generated video by tapping Music, then searching for the song you’d like to add. Slide the time selector to choose when in the song you’d like to use.
It can take a few minutes to generate a video. You can use other features on Meta AI while you wait. Your generated video can be found in your Media.
Once your video has been generated, you’ll receive a notification if your notifications are turned on. You can download the generated video by tapping it, tapping 
For the best results, edit videos with minimal fast movement (Example: Relaxing in a park) over videos with more fast movement. (Example: Playing sports.)

- Depending on your prompt, the content generated may go against our Community Standards or Terms of Service of Meta's platforms. Sharing AI-generated content on our platforms that go against these standards will be treated the same as sharing other content that go against our standards.
