Refer Meta Quest to a friend
About the Meta Quest Referral program
If you have a Meta Quest, you can invite a friend to purchase their own Meta Quest 3 or Meta Quest 3S. Once your friend accepts the referral invite link and purchases and activates their new Meta Quest, both of you will receive $30 USD (or equivalent amount in your local currency, if applicable) in promotional Quest cash
You must be logged into your Meta account to send a referral invite link.
Send referral
To send a referral invite:
- On your phone, open the Meta Horizon app.
- Tap
Menu at the top of your Horizon Feed.
- Scroll down, then tap Referrals below Payment and subscriptions.
- Tap Copy to copy your unique referral invite link, then share it with a friend on the platform of your choice. You can also tap Share to select from sharing options on your device.
- You can send a referral on Messenger. Scroll down to Suggested referrals, then tap Send next to one of your friends. You can find more friends from your Messenger contacts by tapping Search for People, then entering the name of a Messenger contact.
- Your friend will receive your referral invite link. They must accept the invite, purchase a new Meta Quest device (Meta Quest 3 or Meta Quest 3S) and activate the device using a new Meta account.
- You and your friend will each receive $30 USD in promotional Quest cash when your friend activates their headset.
Accept and use referral credit
Your friend must accept the referral invite link for both of you to get the referral credit.
To accept a referral invitation:
- Click the referral invite link that your friend sent. You may need to create a new Meta account or log into an existing account.
- Click Accept referral.
- Purchase a new Meta Quest 3 or Meta Quest 3S from any retailer. You and your friend who referred you will receive $30 USD in promotional Quest cash once you activate your headset.
You should receive your referral credit immediately after activating your headset.
To use your referral credit:
- On your phone, open the Meta Horizon app.
- Tap
- Scroll down, then tap Referrals below Payment and subscriptions.
- Tap Device referrals and redeem your available device referral credits.
Check referral status
You can check your device referral status on this page.
You must be logged into your Meta account to check your Meta Quest referral status.
You can also check your referral status from the Meta Horizon app.
To check your device referral status in the app:
- On your phone, open the Meta Horizon app.
- Tap
- Scroll down to Payments and subscriptions, then tap Referrals.
- Tap Devices to see your referral status.
Eligibility
- To send a referral, you must have a Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest 3, Meta Quest 3S or Meta Quest Pro registered to your Meta account.
- Your friend must be a new Meta Quest user in order to get the referral credit. This means their Meta account cannot already be associated with another Meta Quest or Oculus Rift device.
- Your friend’s device must be a new Meta Quest 3 or Meta Quest 3S. It can’t be a refurbished device or one that was previously registered to another account.
- Both your account and your friend’s account must be registered in a country that’s supported by Meta Quest. They do not need to be the same country.
- Both you and your friend must be at least 18 years old (19 in South Korea).
- Users can earn a maximum of $599 USD in promotional Quest cash per year from the Meta Quest Referral program. This limit applies to rewards earned through both the Meta Quest Referral program and app referrals combined.
