How to report deepfake intimate imagery
Your experiences on Meta technologies should be safe and secure. If you see something that goes against our Community Standards let us know. If you are a resident of Texas, you can report specific harms, including deepfake intimate imagery under Texas HB 3133.
How to report deepfake intimate imagery content
- The best way to report abusive content is by using the Report link near the content itself. Our global teams work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to review content you report.
- Once in the in-app reporting section, if you are a resident of Texas, you can choose Reporting specific harms and create a more detailed report if:
- Nudes, partial nudes or sexually explicit content has been shared without your consent.
- Someone created and shared deepfake nudes without consent.
- You’ll then be redirected to a form where you can share more details.
- We remove anything that violates our policies.
Information to include for a report of deepfake intimate imagery content under Texas HB 3133
When you create your report, include the following information:
- Link to the specific content that you want to report.
- Your contact information (we need this to update you on the status of your report).
Note: If you've reported something on Facebook, you have the option to check the status of your report from your Support Inbox. Only you can see your Support Inbox. We don't include any information about the person who filed the report when we reach out to the responsible account holder.
