Report a bug on Meta Quest
Reporting a bug helps Meta to understand and resolve the problem. If you discover a broken feature or bug while using Meta Quest headset, you can send us a report from your headset or the Meta Horizon mobile app.
To report a bug from your Meta Quest:
- Press
Meta button or
Oculus button on your right controller to open the Navigator.
- Select
Quick controls.
- Select
Report problem.
- Select Include or Don't include to add complete logs and diagnostics.
- Follow the instructions to submit your report.
You can also quickly press the Meta button /
Oculus button on your right Touch controller five times in a row to open the bug report tool.
What information do we collect when someone reports a bug?
When someone reports a bug with Meta Quest we collect:
- Account level information
- Apps the person is running
- Basic information about the device
What information can someone choose to include when reporting a bug?
When someone reports a bug with Meta Quest they can also choose to include complete logs and diagnostics, such as:
- Activity logs
- Network logs
- Thermals
- Battery performance
- Memory usage
- OS level systems
- Apps running and errors you have experienced
We use this information to better understand and fix the issues you're reporting. These reports are stored for up to 90 days and are automatically deleted after that.
Your choice to include complete logs and diagnostics is independent and separate from the control to share additional data with Meta when using Meta Quest devices.
If you are interested in tracking the status of a reported security vulnerability (example: remediation status, follow-up questions), we invite you to submit the report through Meta’s Bug Bounty Program. If valid, you might be eligible to receive a payout for reporting the vulnerability to us.
