Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest 3S are equipped with two types of status display lights (LEDs), a status display light and a bystander signaling display light.

Status display light

The light on the side of your Quest 3 headset lets you know the status of the headset, including its battery charge state.

Bystander signaling display light

The display light on the front of your headset lets those around you know if the sensors on your headset are engaged, and if bystanders may be in your field of view.

White External sensors active
Blinking whitePassthrough is on and headset is casting, recording, or livestreaming
