Privacy settings for organization-managed Meta Quest devices in Meta Horizon managed services
Audience and visibility
By default, only you can see the apps you own and use, and your achievements of high scores associated with those apps.
If social features are enabled by your admin, then you can change what your followers can see, which means people from your organization may also see this information. To do this:
- Go to Settings on your Meta Quest device.
- Select Privacy and safety.
- In Audience and Visibility, select the dropdown next to Who can see your activity and select Your followers.
Social connections
By default, your profile is set to private. People can still search for your name or username and send you follow requests. If social features are enabled by your admin, you’ll also receive requests to approve followers, and only your followers can see your Following and Followers lists.
If social features are enabled, you can turn off Private Profile. This means anyone with a Meta Horizon profile, including people from your organization, will be able to see your Following and Followers lists. To do this:
- Go to Settings on your Meta Quest device.
- Select Privacy and safety.
- In Social Connections, turn off the toggle next to Private Profile.
Data & Analytics
To select your preferences for sharing data with Meta:
- Go to Settings on your Meta Quest device.
- Select Privacy and safety.
- In Data and Analytics, select your preferences.
Meta AI
To set your privacy settings when you’re using Meta AI on your organization-managed device:
- Go to Settings on your Meta Quest device.
- Select Meta AI from the left menu.
- In the Privacy section you can:
- Use the toggle to silence voice conversations so that other people in calls and apps won’t hear your conversations with Meta AI.
- Use the toggle to choose whether your camera should take an image when you ask Meta AI about what you see.
- Go to Activity log, where you can delete voice conversations and provide feedback on responses. Deleting a recording and transcripts will also delete the data associated with that conversation.
- Choose whether you want to store voice recordings and related data to improve Meta AI.
Note: If you are using an organization-managed Meta Quest, then you cannot contact support. However, you can report a problem on your device, which creates a bug report for your admin to review.
