Manage social features for a teen's account you supervise

You can choose to allow or block your teen’s access to social features on Meta Quest and the Meta Horizon mobile app like calls and chat. Blocking your teen's access will prevent them from using features like chats, calls, and voice chat in Horizon Worlds. It does not prevent them from accessing social features within other apps.

To access these settings, make sure you have parental supervision set up.

Both you and your teen need to consent to set up parental supervision, and you can turn the feature off at any time.

To manage your teen’s access to social features on the Meta Horizon mobile app

  1. Open the Meta Horizon app on your phone.
  2. Tap Menu in the top left.
  3. Tap Family Center.
  4. Tap on your teen’s account.
  5. Tap Supervision settings.
  6. Tap Toggle next to Block social features to block or allow.

To manage your teen’s access to social features on Family Center

  1. Go to Family Center and log in.
  2. Select your teen’s account.
  3. Under Their settings, select Safety settings
  4. Click Toggle next to Block social features to block or allow.
