Cancel your Meta account deletion

If you decide that you no longer wish to delete your Meta account, you can cancel your deletion request within 30 days by following the directions below.

Cancel account deletion

  1. Go to this page. You may need to log in using the email address used to create the Meta account.
  2. Click Cancel deletion.

You can only access the link above if you’ve scheduled account deletion.

Things to know

  • You cannot cancel account deletion if your account was scheduled for deletion due to violations.
  • You can’t access Meta Accounts Center once you’ve scheduled your Meta account deletion.
  • If you have a linked Facebook or Instagram profile, you can access Accounts Center on Facebook or Instagram. You can cancel your Meta account deletion there, if you choose.
  • You can't cancel your deletion request from your headset.
  • If you're 10-12 years old (age may vary by region) with a Meta account that’s managed by your parent or guardian, your parent may need to cancel account deletion for you. Your parent will need to log into your account to cancel deletion.
