How to watch your child's or teen’s Meta Quest activity in real-time
You can watch what your child or supervised teen is doing in Meta Quest in real-time from your phone using your own account. This means you can see and hear their Meta Quest activity, without needing to use their headset or log into their account.
You can only watch what your child or teen is doing in Meta Quest if you supervise their account. Learn more about supervision.
Your child or teen will receive a notification when you start watching their Meta Quest activity. The notification will remain on their screen until you stop. Your child or teen can’t stop you from watching their Meta Quest activity.
To watch your child's or teen’s Meta Quest activity in real-time:
- On your phone, open the Meta Horizon app.
- Tap
Menu at the top of your Horizon Feed.
- Tap Family Center, then select your child’s or teen’s account.
- Tap Watch live.
- If you supervise your teen across multiple Meta experiences, be sure you select
Horizon at the top of your screen before tapping Watch live.
- Tap Continue. Your device will connect to your child's or teen’s headset.
To stop watching your child's or teen’s Meta Quest activity in real-time:
- From the screen where you see your child's or teen’s Meta Quest activity, tap X in the top left.
- Tap OK.
Things to keep in mind
- You cannot watch your child's or teen’s Meta Quest activity in real-time if they have initiated a live stream or are already casting to a screen. Your child or teen will need to stop their live stream or casting session before you can start watching their Meta Quest activity.
- Your child's or teen’s headset needs to be connected to the internet, and your device should be on the same Wi-fi network for you to see their activity in real-time.
- If you are having issues, make sure you have a stable internet connection. You can also try restarting the Meta Horizon app.
