Meta cares about your experience on Meta Horizon. We want to enable people to access certain ad-supported content while responsibly introducing apps containing ads onto our platform.
While not all third-party apps will be permitted to contain ads, some apps that you may interact with on Meta Horizon, like your favorite media streaming services, will be able to show ads to you in the same way they do on other platforms. Learn more in our App policies.
Here’s what you need to know about in-app ads:
- If an app includes in-app advertising, the app’s page will include a Contains ads label.
- Ads are considered part of an app and must follow all policies applicable to apps, including without limitation the Content Guidelines, App policies and Developer Data Use Policy.
- Developers and their ad providers are not permitted to use Meta user data other than your advertising ID for the purposes of serving or personalizing the advertising experience.
- A parent or guardian can approve their child’s request to access apps that run ads.
- If you believe an ad goes against our policies, you should report the ad directly to the developer.
- You can flag an app on the Meta Horizon Store to Meta to report an issue with the app or its content.
