Return app gifts
Only the person who received the gift can request to return it, unless otherwise required by applicable law. The refund will go to the person who purchased the gift.
Gift returns must follow our refund policies, which means the content must:
- Be returned within 14 days of being downloaded, and
- Not have been played for more than 2 hours.
If the recipient has tried an app, they'll need to delete the demo from their headset before returning it. After they delete the demo, they can restart their headset and open the gifted app.
Return a gift
To return a gift that you received:
- On your phone, open the Meta Horizon app.
- Tap
Menu at the top of your Horizon Feed.
- Scroll down and tap Manage gifts below Payment and subscriptions.
- Tap Redeemed at the top.
- Select the content you want to return.
Processing refunds
When you request to return a gift, we’ll email the purchaser with an update.
It takes 5-7 business days to review, verify and process refund requests. You won’t be able to access the content while we process the request.
If the return is approved, we’ll credit the original payment method.
If the purchaser hasn't received their refund within 7 business days from the day the refund was approved, we recommend that they contact their payment provider for help.
