Connect external drives to Files in Meta Horizon

You can connect external drives to your Meta Quest headset and browse, copy and manage files with the Files app.

Open the Files app before you begin

  1. Press Meta button / Oculus button on your right Touch controller to open the universal menu.
  2. Select App library to open your library.
  3. Select Files to launch the app.

Connect your Google Drive account

  1. From the Files app, go to the + Connect Drive tab in the left menu.
    • Alternatively, select Settings in the toolbar.
  2. Select Google Drive, then select Connect.
  3. Follow the prompts to sign in.
  4. Grant necessary permissions to link your account.

Only one Google Drive account can be connected at a time. To use a different account, go to Settings to disconnect the current account.

Browse Google Drive files

  1. From the Files app, select Google Drive in the left menu. If you don’t see this option, you may need to reconnect your Google Drive account.
  2. Browse your Google Drive files.

Download files from Google Drive

  1. From the Files app, select Google Drive in the left menu. If you don’t see this option, you may need to reconnect your Google Drive account.
  2. Locate the file in your Google Drive section.
  3. Select Options to open the context menu on the file you want to download, then select Download.
  4. The file will be saved to your Downloads folder in internal storage.

Note: Google Drive files are read-only. You can view, download, and share them, but cannot rename, delete, or modify them.
