How to factory reset your Meta Quest
If you've lost your Meta Quest, or if your device was stolen, performing a remote factory reset can help protect your account and personal information. Learn what to do if you purchased a headset from an unauthorized retailer and it's reported lost or stolen.
Factory resetting your device is a last resort method for solving device issues. Before you factory reset, make sure you have tried:
- Updating your device using the software update tool. This tool lets you update your device's software, even when the device itself is unresponsive.
- Hard rebooting your device by holding down the power button for 30 seconds, until you hear the device turn back on.
If you are still having problems, you can try a factory reset.
