Use Meta Quest Link apps added by your admin in your organization-managed device

This article is for people who are using an organization-managed device, not a personal device.

If an organization admin has added an app to your Meta Quest that requires you to connect your headset to your Windows PC, then first you need to download and set up the Meta Quest Link app on your Windows computer.

Note: The Meta Quest Link app is only available for Windows computers.

Download and set up the Meta Quest Link app on your PC

  1. Go to meta.com/quest/setup on your Windows PC and download the Meta Quest Link app.
  2. Launch the app from the downloads folder on your computer, then click Get started.
  3. Under Location, click the drop-down menu to select where to install the Link app on your computer.
  4. Click Install now. When installation has completed, click Next then open the app.
  5. Log in using your managed Meta account.
  6. Select your profile picture, choose your privacy settings, select your headset, then select your connection method.
    • You can connect using either a USB-C 3.2 cable that supports a minimum of 5GBs, or with Air Link.
  7. Follow on-screen instructions to complete setup.

After you’ve done this, follow the steps below to open the app in your headset.

Open the app in your Meta Quest headset

  1. Press Meta button / Oculus button on your right Touch controller to open your Navigator.
  2. Select Library.
  3. Select the For work / For school tab.
  4. Select the Meta Quest Link app. It may need to install first.
  5. Review the data disclosure for the app. To allow the app access, select Allow.
  6. If it’s the first time you’re using a Meta Quest Link app, then you will be prompted to Go to Settings to complete initial pairing.
  7. Your Quest device will search for your PC. Make sure your Quest device is still connected to your PC. Select your PC when it appears, then select Launch.
  8. You will be prompted to install the app in the Meta Quest Link app on your PC.
  9. Select Launch.

Note: If you are using an organization-managed Meta Quest, then you cannot contact support. However, you can report a problem on your device, which creates a bug report for your admin to review.
