Cast to a screen with Meta Quest
Casting with Meta Quest allows you to share what you’re seeing in your headset to your computer or mobile phone. In addition to casting from your primary account, you can also cast from a secondary account.
Before you cast
- Make sure your phone, computer and headset are on the same Wi-Fi network.
- If your Wi-Fi network supports dual band, make sure your devices are on the same frequency.
- Make sure the headset and device you're casting to are logged into the same Meta account.
- You can cast from either your primary or secondary account.
How to start casting:
- Press
Meta button or
Oculus button on your right controller to open the Navigator.
- Select
Quick controls.
- Select Cast.
- Select Mobile, Web or choose a nearby device from the list.
- Select Next and follow the on-screen instructions.
How to stop casting:
- Press
- Select
- Select Cast and then Stop casting.
If you're having issues with casting, try these tips.
Your phone must have Bluetooth turned on and connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Meta Quest. To get started:
- Open the Meta Horizon app and tap
.
- Tap Devices.
- Select your headset, then tap Cast.
To stop casting, tap the casting display on your phone, tap the X and then select Stop casting. If you close the Meta Horizon app or open a different app on your phone, casting will also be stopped.
If you're having issues with casting, try these tips.
Your computer must be on the same Wi-Fi network as your headset to cast with Meta Quest. To start casting:
- On your computer, open your browser then go to horizon.meta.com/casting and log in.
- Press
- Select
- Select Cast.
- Select Web, then select Next.
- Select Computer, then select Next to connect.
How to stop casting:
- Select
- Select Stop casting.

Your computer must be on the same Wi-Fi network as your headset to cast with Meta Quest.
Before you get started, make sure that your headset is connected to the Meta Horizon Link app.
To cast from the Meta Horizon Link app:
- From your computer, open the Meta Horizon Link app.
- Click Devices. You should see your headset appear in the list of devices.
- Click Start casting.
- A window on your computer will appear that displays what you're seeing in your headset.
- When you've finished, click Stop casting.
