Set up and access parental supervision for Worlds

Updated:26 weeks ago
When you’ve set up parental supervision for your teen, you can manage their activity in Worlds from the Meta Horizon mobile app. When you’re connected to your teen's account, you can see, change or lock your teen's voice channel and personal boundary settings.
If you change these settings, your teen will be notified. If you lock a setting, your teen will need to send a request to change that setting to be less restrictive. Your teen will still be able to change these settings to a setting that is more restrictive at any time.
- Follow the steps in our article to set up parental supervision for your teen if you have not done so already.
- When parental supervision has been set up, open the Meta Horizon mobile app and tap
Menu at the top of your Horizon Feed.
- Tap Family Center.
- Tap your teen’s account.
From here, you can:
- See how much time your teen has spent in Worlds and apps over the last 7 days.
- Tap Manage time limits to set time limits or schedule breaks.
- Tap Safety settings to see, change and lock safety settings like personal boundary and voice channel.
- Block your teen from using the app.
Your teen can change their voice channel and personal boundary anytime unless you lock those settings. If you lock them, your teen can send a request to change their settings.
