If you’re using an organization-managed device that’s configured in Shared Mode, then you will need to complete setup steps when you put on the headset.
First of all, you’ll be taken through adjusting the fit and feel of the headset.
You may need to log into the headset with a managed Meta account, depending on whether the organization’s admins have required this. You may also need to create a Meta Horizon profile.
You’ll need to acknowledge health and safety warnings, agree to the Terms of Service and create a boundary.
There may also be other steps you need to complete depending on settings chosen by the organization, such as creating a session passcode.
When you have completed setup, you’ll either be able to choose from a range of apps to open, or be taken straight to the app that’s been assigned to the device. You may need to log into the app you open.
You can lock the headset by:
When you put the headset back on, if a session passcode was created when you set up the device then you can enter this to continue your session. You can also choose to end the session.
When the session ends, the next person who uses the headset will have to complete the same setup steps, including logging into the device if this is a requirement.
Note: If you are using an organization-managed Meta Quest, then you cannot contact support. However, you can report a problem on your device, which creates a bug report for your admin to review.
