Safe browsing in Browser is powered by Google Safe Browsing and enhanced by Meta’s secure website database. Our database provides an additional layer of security to help keep you safe while using Browser.
When enabled, safe browsing may protect you from visiting websites that are suspected to be potentially dangerous. This includes websites that may trick users into installing unwanted software or revealing personal information.
Enabling safe browsing doesn’t guarantee identification and prevention of all dangerous websites. Some risky sites may not be identified, and some safe websites may be misidentified as risky. You can learn more by viewing these informational websites about harmful web content:
To turn safe browsing in Browser on or off:
- Press
Meta button /
Oculus button on your right Touch controller to go to the universal menu.
- Select
App library, then select Browser.
- Select
Options in the top right, then select Settings.
- Below Privacy and Security, select the toggle next to Enable safe browsing to turn safe browsing on or off.
