Sync media between your Meta Quest, Meta Horizon mobile app and browser
With Meta Quest, you can sync media between your headset, Meta Horizon mobile app and browser. Make sure you install the Meta Horizon app and pair it to your headset using the same Wi-Fi network. Please also make sure the software on your Meta Quest is up to date and your phone is compatible with Meta Quest.
Turn on media syncing
To begin syncing media between your devices:
- Press
Meta button or
Oculus button on your right Touch controller to open the universal menu.
- Select
Settings in the top right.
- Select
Camera.
- Next to Sync photos and videos, turn the toggle to the on position.
To sync or unsync individual files:
- Select
Library.
- Select Gallery.
- Navigate to a specific file and select
Options, then select Sync or Unsync.
View and download your media
To view and download synced media from web:
- From your browser, visit meta.com/gallery and log into your Meta account.
- Double-click the media you want to view.
- Click
Download.
To view and download synced media on your phone:
- Open the Meta Horizon app.
- Tap
Menu at the top of your Horizon Feed.
- Tap Gallery then tap on the media you want to view.
- Tap
Download to save the media to your phone.
To view and download synced media from your headset:
- From the universal menu, open your app library.
- Select the Gallery app.
Troubleshooting
For photos and videos to sync from your headset, your headset needs to be on and idle. The sync will fail if you open another app, if your headset disconnects from Wi-Fi or if your headset turns off.
Larger files can take longer to sync. Videos taken from your headset that are over a minute long need to be individually synced.
Note: Media will not take up space on your phone unless you download it from the Meta Horizon app.
