Ask your parent to add someone as a follower

If your parent or guardian manages your follow requests, they’ll need to approve who follows you and who you follow. You can ask them to add someone as a follower.

Your parent will get a notification when someone asks to follow you or when you ask to follow someone else. You’ll get a notification when they’ve approved or declined these requests.

To ask your parent using the Meta Horizon mobile app:

  1. Open the Meta Horizon mobile app on your phone.
  2. Tap Horizon chat in the top right.
  3. Find followers by searching for new followers:
    • Tap Search at the top and enter a username or name to follow new people.
  4. Tap Follow, then tap Ask them to send the request to your parent.

Note: Make sure you’re logged into the app using your account.

To ask your parent using your Meta Quest headset:

  1. Press Meta button/ Oculus button on your right Touch controller to pull up your universal menu.
  2. Select Horizon chat, then select Search and enter their name or username.
    • If you don't see Horizon chat, find the person’s profile from your headset.
  3. Enter their username or first and last name.
  4. Select Follow next to or below the person you want to follow.
  5. Select Ask them to send the request to your parent.
