Block or unblock someone for a child’s Meta account
If your child is between 10-12 years old with a Meta account that's managed by you, you can block people for them. Your child can also block people.
What happens when you or your child blocks someone
When you or your child blocks someone, they won’t be able to see your child’s info or app activity.
We won't tell the person that they were blocked. We may share information with certain apps about who you or your child blocked to help make sure your child doesn't interact with a blocked person in those apps.
Blocking a follower will remove them from your child’s follower list.
If you or your child blocks someone who’s an approved contact:
- The person will be removed as an approved contact.
- Your child and the person will automatically unfollow each other.
- They’ll no longer be able to chat with, call, invite or join each other in an app or destination.
- They’ll no longer see each other’s app activity or their profile in search.
You and your child can unblock someone at any time. If your child unblocks someone, you will be notified.
