Meta Horizon profile restrictions and suspensions on Meta Quest
If you’ve received a notification that your Meta Horizon profile is restricted, a report against your account or content you created was reviewed and deemed in violation of the Code of Conduct for Virtual Experiences or our Terms of Service.
Violating the Code of Conduct for Virtual Experiences may result in actions taken against your profile with varying severity including but not limited to, temporary restrictions on access to social features, leading up to a profile suspension.
Meta Horizon profile restrictions
Depending on the severity of your code of conduct violation, based on the reported evidence, you may receive a strike upon review by our trained safety specialists and subsequent strikes can accumulate for repeat behavior. Your first strike will result in an email warning. Additional violations will lead to temporarily restricted access to some features including chats, groups, calls, and access to Meta Horizon Worlds.
View profile status in Safety Center
You can view your profile status details, any restrictions on your profile, and your reports about others in Safety Center.
- From your Meta Quest headset, hover over the clock on the left side of the universal menu. When Quick Settings appears, select it to open the Quick Settings panel.
- Select Settings.
- Select Privacy and safety then select Safety Center.

You can also view your profile status details, any restrictions on your profile, and your reports about others on the web.
- Go to meta.com in a browser and login to your Meta account.
- Select your profile photo.
- Select Meta Horizon profile settings.
- Select Profile.
Submit an appeal for action taken against your profile or world
Submit a review request to Meta if you believe your profile or world was restricted by mistake. Use the link in the warning or suspension email sent to you from Meta.
About Meta Horizon profile suspensions
For severe or repeated violations, we may also suspend your profile along with your Meta account. When your Meta Horizon profile is suspended, you won’t have access to your apps and in-app purchases on your Meta Quest or the Meta Horizon mobile app, and you won't be able to log into or use your Meta account, including Meta Horizon Worlds.
Request a review via email if you believe your profile was suspended by mistake. Missing the appeals deadline may result in permanent account disablement.
