Join a community on Meta Horizon
Communities in Meta Horizon center around an app or world that community members enjoy playing. It provides a space to chat, call, and meet up with other members.
To join a community:
- From the Meta Horizon app, tap
Chats, then tap Communities.
- Find and tap on any community you want to join under Discover communities or tap Filter to find communities by a specific world or app.
- If the community requires admin approval for new members, tap Request to join.
- If the community allows anyone, tap Join.
When you join a community, you can send, receive, and react to messages with other members, join community play sessions or invite people to join you in a game. You can also join voice chat with up to 7 other community members.
To invite someone using the Invite button:
- From the Meta Horizon app, tap
Chats, then tap Communities.
- Under My communities, find and tap into the community you want to invite someone to join.
- Tap the name of the community at the top of the chat window.
- Tap Invite.
- Search for the person you would like to invite and select them by clicking the circle next to their name.
- Tap Confirm.
To invite someone using the invite link:
- From the Meta Horizon app, tap
Chats, then tap Communities.
- Under My communities, find and click into the community you want to invite someone to join.
- Tap the name of the community at the top of the chat window.
- Click Invite link.
- Click Copy or Share to send the link to someone for them to join.
To review and accept an invite from someone else to join a community:
- From the Meta Horizon app, tap
Chats, then tap Communities.
- Invitations are listed above the Discover section.
- Review invite requests and select
to approve or
to deny the invitation
To report a community:
- From the Meta Horizon app, tap
Chats, then tap Communities.
- Find and tap on the community, then tap Report.
- Tap the reason for your report, then tap Close to finish.
Note: Communities are public and currently only available to those over 18 years old. Communities may not currently be available in your region.
