We’re gradually updating Accounts Center, which will enable your Meta Account to work across more products, if you choose. You may see either Accounts Center or Meta Account settings as the place to manage your settings. Learn more about updated Meta Accounts.
Charge your headset
Plug the charging cord into your Meta Quest 2 headset and a power source. The charging indicator turns green once it's fully charged. If you haven't charged your Meta Quest 2 yet, keep your headset connected to power while it runs the initial updates.
Download Meta Horizon and create your account
Create a Meta Account to use your Meta Quest device, apps, and app store. Set up your account during the device setup in the Meta Horizon mobile app or online at auth.meta.com.
Adjust your headset fit and view
- Adjust the lenses by moving them left, then right until they click into the position that gives you the clearest view.
- Adjust the side straps by moving the two sliders on either side of the top strap.
- To loosen the side straps, move the sliders toward the top strap. To tighten the side straps, move the sliders away from the top strap.
- After you move the sliders, re-center the top strap between them so the two sides are equal and the top strap is centered on your head.
- Remember, you'll need to remove the headset to re-adjust the side straps with the sliders.
- If you're wearing glasses, make sure to insert the glasses spacer. When you're ready, put the headset on from front to back.
- Place the headset on your head, then remove it and make any additional adjustments to the side straps as needed.
- After you set the side straps, put your headset back on and adjust the top strap. Adjust the top strap by separating the velcro and reattaching it so your Meta Quest 2 rests lightly on your face and the picture is clear.
- Fine-tune your headset fit and clarity by moving the firm arms on either side of your Meta Quest 2 up and down. This adjusts the angle of the headset against your face.
After you adjust your headset, follow the instructions in the headset and Meta Horizon mobile app to complete setup.
