Use Messenger on Meta Quest
You can use Messenger on Meta Quest to send messages and join calls, just as you would on your mobile device. Learn more about Messenger in the Messenger Help Center.
To use Messenger on Meta Quest:
- Press
Meta button or
Oculus button on your right controller to open the Navigator.
- Select
Library.
- Select
Messenger.
Manage Messenger notifications on Meta Quest
Similar to using Messenger on mobile, you will get a notification when one of your Facebook friends messages you. If you don't want to have Messenger notifications while you're wearing your headset, you can turn them off in your Notifications settings.
To manage your notification settings:
- Press
- Select
Quick controls.
- Select
Settings in the top right.
- Select
Notifications.
- Scroll down to the list of apps under Notifications.
- Select the toggle next to Messenger to turn off notifications.
Share your view in Messenger on Meta Quest
Sharing your experience with Messenger on Meta Quest allows you to share what you're seeing with others on a call.
To share your experience:
- From your Messenger call, select
Start Sharing.
To stop sharing, return to the Messenger call and select
Note: If you open another app in your headset, you will continue to share what you're seeing in your headset with others on the call until you stop sharing.
