Updated:13 weeks ago

Controller drift is a term used when a controller's thumbstick no longer responds accurately to your input, or when it moves - or drifts - on screen without touching it. Follow the steps below if you're experiencing controller drift on your Meta Quest Touch controllers.

Recalibrate your controllers

For Quest 3, Quest 3S, Quest 2 and Quest Pro:

  1. From your headset, select Settings.
  2. Select Devices then select Controllers.
  3. Under Thumbstick range and deadzone, select the thumbstick you're having an issue with.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to recalibrate the thumbstick deadzones.
  5. If your controller’s thumbstick is still drifting, try setting a larger deadzone.

If you're still experiencing controller drift after completing these steps, please contact Meta Store Support.
