Customize and upload a custom skybox on Meta Quest

Enhance or personalize the Skybox View that surrounds your Home environment in your headset by selecting one of the preinstalled options or uploading your own image.

To upload a custom skybox:

  1. Press Meta button or Oculus button on your right controller to open the Navigator.
  2. Select Quick controls.
  3. Select Settings, then select Environment setup.
  4. Select one of the preinstalled images or select Upload next to Upload a skybox to use your own image.
    • You can download images from Browser by hovering over an image and pressing Y button or B button on your controller, then selecting Save Image.
    • For best results, use a 360° .JPG or .PNG

    5. Custom Skybox View isn't available in groups of two or more and may not work in all environments.

Note: For the best experience, custom images should be 360 degree equirectangular, measure 6144 x 3072 pixels and be in .JPG or .PNG format.
