Export a copy of your Meta Horizon Workrooms information
Meta Horizon Workrooms will be discontinued on February 16, 2026. The Meta Quest Remote Desktop app will remain available, so you will still be able to connect your Meta Quest to your computer to work on multiple virtual screens.
From February 16, 2026, you will no longer be able to access Workrooms, and any data associated with Workrooms will be deleted. Before this date:
- If you’re logged into workrooms.workplace.com, then you can access certain information (example: profile information and information related to your room) associated with your Workrooms account.
- If you’re logged into accountscenter.meta.com, then you can access and download other information (example: meeting information) associated with your Workrooms account.
- If you are using a Meta account that’s managed by your organization to access Workrooms, learn how to download your information (provided that your admin allows downloads).
You can export a copy of information associated with your Meta Workrooms activities. If you have a Meta Quest headset, you can also export a copy of the information collected by the hardware in your headset and accessories.
Information you can export includes content and information you’ve shared, your activity and information we collect. There are different types of information you can export to your device versus a service.
Export from the Workrooms web app
To export a copy of your information to your device:
- Click Settings, then click Privacy and visibility.
- Go to Request download, then click Create export.
- Select the profile you’d like to export information from, then click Next.
- Select Export to device. From here, you can choose specific information to export, select a date range, format, the notification email and media quality.

- Once you have customized your export, click Start export.
To export a copy of your information to an external service:
- Click Settings, then click Privacy and visibility.
- Go to Request download, then click Create export.
- Select the profile you’d like to export information from, then click Next.
- Select Export to external service.
- Choose an external service to export your information to and click Next. You'll need to connect to the external service you’ve selected.
- Choose how often you want to export, then click Next.
- Enter the password for the profile you selected, then click Next. From here, you can customize your export, choose your notification email and media quality.

- Once you have customized your export, click Start export.
Export from the Meta Accounts Center
To export a copy of your information to your device:
- Go to Accounts Center. You may need to log in.
- Click Your information and permissions in the menu on the left.
- Click Export your information, then click Create export.
- Select the profile you’d like to export information from, then click Next.
- Select Export to device. From here, you can choose specific information to export, select a date range, format, the notification email and media quality.

- Once you have customized your export, click Start export.
To export a copy of your information to an external service:
- Go to Accounts Center. You may need to log in.
- Click Your information and permissions in the menu on the left.
- Click Export your information, then click Create export.
- Select the profile you’d like to export information from, then click Next.
- Select Export to external service.
- Choose an external service to export your information to and click Next. You'll need to connect to the external service you’ve selected.
- Choose how often you want to export, then click Next.
- Enter the password for the profile you selected, then click Next. From here, you can customize your export, choose your notification email and media quality.

- Once you have customized your export, click Start export.
You should receive an email confirmation when your information is ready. It may take some time to compile the information.
Once you receive the link to export your information, you will have 4 days to download it before the link expires. This is to protect your privacy.
