Voice channel is a feature that lets you choose to not hear conversations from people you don’t know. That includes people you’re not following and who aren’t following you back.

Voice channel options

  1. People you know: Only hear and be heard by people you know.
  2. Everyone: Hear and be heard by everyone in the world.

To hear someone temporarily, hold one controller up to your ear.

Adjust your voice channel settings

To adjust voice channel settings in Meta Horizon Worlds:

  1. From Worlds, press Menu button on your left Touch controller.
  2. Select Settings gear. Settings, then select Sound.
  3. Make your selection using the toggle next to Voice channel.

Note: By default, voice channel is set to everyone for adults and people you know for teens.

Parents managing accounts with parental supervision can see, change or lock their teen's voice channel setting.
