How to use Voice Channel in Worlds

Voice channel is a feature that lets you choose to not hear conversations from people you don’t know. That includes people you’re not following and who aren’t following you back.
There are two voice channel options:
- People you know: Only hear and be heard by people you know. Other people’s voices will be filtered and sound like quiet, friendly sounds. Additionally, people will see an ear icon above your name tag that shows you can’t hear them.
- Everyone: Hear and be heard by everyone in the world. However, if someone has their voice channel set to only hear people they know, their voice might sound filtered to you.
To hear someone temporarily, hold one controller up to your ear.
To adjust voice channel settings in Meta Horizon Worlds:
- From Worlds, press
Menu button on your left Touch controller.
- Select
Settings, then select Sound.
- Make your selection using the toggle next to Voice channel.
Note: By default, voice channel is set to everyone for adults and people you know for teens.
For accounts with parental supervision, parents can see, change or lock their teen's voice channel setting.
