Moderation Terms for Worlds

The following terms shall apply to Creator's use of any data provided to Creator for the purpose of Creator’s management or enforcement of Meta’s Code of Conduct for Virtual Experiences (or other applicable rules or terms) for worlds in Worlds. Data provided by Meta is intended to be used for the purpose of Creator management or enforcement of Meta’s Code of Conduct for Virtual Experiences (or other applicable rules or terms) for worlds in Worlds, including the review and resolution of user reports.
- Security: Creator shall not, nor attempt to, circumvent, compromise, or otherwise engage in similar activities with respect to Meta technical, organizational, and physical data security safeguards implemented to protect Meta Data, nor encourage, facilitate, or otherwise engage other parties to do any of the foregoing.
- Notice of Security Breach: Creator shall provide notice to Meta at vendor-incident@meta.com promptly following Creator’s discovery of any unauthorized or unlawful processing (including access or disclosure) of Meta Data. This could include, for example, Creator becoming aware that someone else gained access to their Creator account.
- Enforcement: Meta may take enforcement action against Creator by limiting, suspending, or terminating Creator’s access to all or any portion of Meta Data or taking other action that may be reasonably necessary to protect the privacy or security of Meta Data, including terminating access to Worlds, if Meta determines in its reasonable discretion that Creator has violated these Terms.
- Prohibition of Independent Use: Creator may not use, facilitate use of, or permit a third party to use data provided by Meta in an independent consumer application or website, unless expressly provided otherwise under a written, fully executed and in-effect agreement between Creator and Meta.
- Termination: Meta may at any time, upon notice, and in our sole discretion terminate the Meta Terms or limit, suspend, or terminate Creator’s access to Meta Data.
- Update of Terms: We work constantly to improve our services and develop new features to make our Products better for you and our community. As a result, we may need to update these Terms from time to time to accurately reflect our services and practices, to promote a safe and secure experience on our Products and services, and/or to comply with applicable law. Unless otherwise required by law, we will notify you before we make changes to these Terms and give you an opportunity to review them before they go into effect. Once any updated Terms are in effect, you will be bound by them if you continue to use our Products. We hope that you will continue using our Products, but if you do not agree to our updated Terms and no longer want to be a part of the Meta community, you can delete your account at any time.
