How to create and manage groups on Meta Quest
With groups on Meta Quest, you can participate in group chats, participate in group calls and send and accept destination invites.
The person who creates the group is the group leader.
How to create a group
To create a group:
- Press
Meta button or
Oculus button on your right Touch controller to open the Navigator.
- Select Chats, then select New group.
- Select people to add to the group, then select Create.
How to add someone to a group
Anyone can add people to a group on Meta Quest. Only the person who created the group, known as the group leader, can remove people from a group. You can leave a group at any time.

To add someone to a group:
- From within a group, select Add people.
- Select people to add to the group, then select Add.
To share an invite link in a chat on Meta Quest:
- From within a group, select
People.
- From within the group, select Invite link.
- Select Share.
- Select the people you want to invite. A link will be sent to each selectee.
How to remove someone from a group
Only the person who created the group, known as the group leader, can remove people from a group. You can leave a group at any time.
If you are the group leader and want to remove someone from the group:
- From within the group, under Members, select the person you want to remove.
- Select Remove from group.

There are two ways you can join a group:
- Added by a current member, or
- With an invite link
