How to create and manage groups on Meta Quest

Updated: With groups on Meta Quest, you can participate in group chats, participate in group calls and send and accept destination invites.
The person who creates the group is the group leader.
How to create a group
To create a group:
- Press
/
on your right Touch controller to open the universal menu.

Select
People, then select
New group.
- Select people to add to the group, then select Invite.
How to add someone to a group
Anyone can add people to a group on Meta Quest. Only the person who created the group, known as the group leader, can remove people from a group. You can leave a group at any time.
Learn what to do if someone in a group is bothering you.
To add someone to a group:
- From within a group, select
.
- Select Add people.
- Select people to add to the group, then select Invite.
To share an invite link in a chat on Meta Quest:
- From within a group, select
- Select Add people, then select Copy link.
- Select any chat, then select the text box.
- Select and hold in the space above the keyboard, then release.
- Select Paste to paste the invite link, then select
.
How to remove someone from a group
Only the person who created the group, known as the group leader, can remove people from a group. You can leave a group at any time.
If you are the group leader and want to remove someone from the group:
- From within the group, select
- Select
next to the name of the person you want to remove.
- Select Remove from group.
How to join a group
There are two ways you can join a group:
- Added by a current member, or
- With an invite link
