Meta Quest 3 is equipped with two types of status display lights (LEDs), a status display light and a bystander signaling display light.
The light on the side of your Quest 3 headset lets you know the status of the headset, including its battery charge state.
Status light color | What it means |
White | Headset powered on |
Green | Battery fully charged |
Orange | Battery charging |
Red | Dead battery |
The display light on the front of your headset lets those around you know if the sensors on your headset are engaged, and if bystanders may be in your field of view.
Status light color | What it means |
White | External sensors active |
Blinking white | Passthrough is on and headset is casting, recording, or livestreaming |
