Learn about the personal boundary setting in Meta Horizon Worlds
Personal boundary is an invisible boundary that creates more space between people so others can’t come too close and to make it easier to avoid unwanted interactions. There are three personal boundary options which you can change at any time based on your comfort from the Safety tab in Settings:
- On for people you don't know: The default setting for users that are 13 years or older (ages may vary by region). Personal boundary is set to a roughly few feet distance between your avatar and people who don't follow you back.
- On for everyone: The default setting for children 10-12 years old (ages may vary by region). Personal boundary is set to a roughly few feet distance between your avatar and any other avatars.
- Off: The personal boundary is off between your avatar and others. Your avatar will still maintain a small boundary so that two avatars can’t stand in the same place.
Personal boundary for children and teens
For children, personal boundary is required at all times within Worlds. For teens, the personal boundary setting can be changed by the teen or locked by their parent or guardian.
