Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses
Location permission is required to connect to your glasses via Wi-Fi on certain Android versions and iOS mobile devices in order to use Meta View app features such as media import and glasses updates.
Location data is accessed when you use location features and have granted the Meta View app Location Permissions. Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses may access your mobile device’s location data for features such as adding location tags to your media captures (example: geotagging) or responding to your location-related questions through the glasses’ voice controls (where voice controls are also independently enabled).
If you allow Meta View app "always-allow” location permission access, location data from your phone can be used to enhance your experience when you are using your glasses even without having your phone screen on and the Meta View app open.
