About the verified badge for Meta One subscribers
Meta One is currently in limited testing and isn’t available everywhere yet. The options you see may vary based on your location, account type, and what’s currently available in testing.
Subscribers of the Meta One Essential, Meta One Advanced, Meta One Expert and Meta One Max plans are eligible for a verified badge after your identity is verified on your subscribed profiles.
After your identity has been verified, you will also have access to subscription benefits like impersonation protection.
Note: Both the verified badge and impersonation protection require passing verification. If we cannot verify your identity, these two benefits won't be active.
About the verified badge
The verified badge is a blue checkmark that appears next to your name on Meta apps such as Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp. The verified badge shows that your profile was authenticated by Meta.
Verified profiles will receive proactive impersonation monitoring protection to help determine if someone is pretending to be you.
Note: A verified badge can only appear on subscribed and verified profiles, which may include your Facebook Page or Instagram Professional profile.
How verification works
Verification is not required to subscribe to Meta One. However, during onboarding, we will attempt to verify your profile based on your activity across our platforms to help you access benefits that require verification.
Eligibility requirements
Eligibility requirements for a verified badge include but are not limited to the following:
- Have an eligible Instagram or Facebook account.
- Not exceed the number of times you can make changes to your account within a certain time period prior to applying for verification (examples: changes to profile name, profile picture, username, location or account type). Learn more about profile name eligibility and editing restrictions.
- Agree to the Meta One for Creators and Businesses Terms of Service and follow the Instagram Terms of Use, Facebook Terms of Service, and Community Standards.
Your verified badge and impersonation protection may be removed if:
- You change information in your profile (such as your name) and it no longer matches what you uploaded.
- You do not follow Meta's Community Standards.
You may be able to go through the verification process again to get these benefits back.
Can you skip verification?
We will attempt to verify your profile based on your activity across our platforms to help you access benefits that require verification. The verification process is automatic and cannot be skipped or paused. If you want to remove the verified badge from your profile, you must cancel your Meta One subscription.
