Updates to the Facebook View Terms of Service and Privacy Policy in the UK
Starting 25 April 2023, the service provider for the UK will change from Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., an EU-based company, to Meta Platforms, Inc. We’re making this change because the UK has left the EU.
What's changing
- Meta Platforms, Inc., a US-based company, will provide you with Meta Products, like Facebook, Instagram and Messenger.
- It will also become responsible for your information and for complying with UK GDPR.
What's staying the same
- There will be no change to our Products or the services you receive.
- Your privacy settings will stay the same.
- Your information will still be protected by UK data protection and privacy laws.
Our terms and privacy policy have been updated to reflect the change. We encourage you to review the updated Facebook View Terms of Service and updated Facebook View Privacy Policy.
If you don’t want to accept the changes, you can choose to leave our services. You can find more information in our help centers about how to leave our services by deleting your Facebook account, and how to download your Facebook account information before you go.
