Your Meta Quest includes the Meta Quest headset, operating system, and authorized apps, cables, power adapter, and accessories.

Getting the right fit

WARNING
To reduce risk of discomfort, the accessory should fit properly. Avoid over-tightening. When properly adjusted, the headset should fit comfortably without too much pressure on your face. Re-check fit before each use to avoid unintended changes to fit.

Children’s use

WARNING
Not recommended for use by younger or smaller-sized children if the accessory does not fit properly. Not a toy. Adults should make sure children who use the accessory follow warnings and instructions.

Discomfort and skin irritation

WARNING
Stop use if pressure, chafing, itching, irritation, lasting changes in skin appearance, swelling, unusual hair loss, or other skin discomfort arises. Don’t resume until you have fully recovered from discomfort or other symptoms.
  • Check fit and cleanliness as symptoms may resolve after adjusting/cleaning. Stop use and consult a doctor if symptoms continue. Pre-existing conditions such as acne, rosacea, and melasma may appear or worsen with use. See meta.com/help/quest/cleaning.
  • Some temporary changes such as color change (redness or darkening) or indentation are normal when they resolve quickly. Be sure to fit your accessory properly and avoid over-tightening. If discomfort or other symptoms continue for a prolonged period or are serious after you stop use, seek medical assistance and don’t resume use until they say it’s okay.
  • Extended use without adequate breaks may increase risk of discomfort, injury, adverse effects. Stop use if you feel discomfort and don't use again until discomfort is gone.

Use with any of these or modifying or hacking your accessory, software or apps may result in injury to you or others, discomfort, property damage, performance issues or damage to your Meta Quest that your warranty may not cover.

Care and handling

Cleaning

  • Keep all parts of your accessory clean, cleaning regularly following instructions below. Improper cleaning can damage the accessory and may impair its operation, increasing the risk of injury or property damage.
  • Use a dry microfiber cloth to wipe off surface debris. For additional cleaning remove the component(s) from the headset and hand wash with cool water and a mild liquid detergent. Do not use chemical cleansers. Do not use alcohol. Rinse thoroughly to remove any soap residue. Do not submerge. Allow to air dry fully before reinstalling. See meta.com/help/quest/cleaning

  • Do not attempt to repair any part of your accessory yourself. Contact Meta Quest Support for assistance.

Contagious conditions

To avoid transferring contagious conditions, persons with contagious conditions should not share your accessory, especially conditions like infections or diseases, particularly of the eyes (like pink eye), skin or scalp.
