App User Review Policy
Date of last revision: July 29, 2024
User reviews are available for Meta Horizon Store apps. We welcome user feedback on apps so that users can understand the app experience and developers can hear from users directly. As such, they are an important part of our app ecosystem. However, Meta reserves the right to take action on user reviews, up to and including removal of the review, if the review is:
inflammatory, hateful, contains abusive language that targets a particular group of people, or violates our Code of Conduct for Virtual Experiences.
irrelevant, including where the review is not based on the user’s direct experience with the app or is unrelated to the intended app experience, including reviews focused on the platform rather than the app experience.
fake, spam, engagement bait, or posted to artificially manipulate the app’s rating or as part of a coordinated attack on an app (e.g. review bombing, brigading, etc).
incentivized (e.g. leave a review to unlock a rare object in the game) or the reviewer has a financial interest (e.g. paid reviews or reviews containing referrals).
disclosing personal information such as age, passwords, email address, phone number or the like.
Text from one or more user reviews for an app may be processed by Meta AI to generate a summary for the app. Such summaries may not be representative of all user reviews, and some may be inaccurate or inappropriate. To learn more about Meta AI click here.
