Wearables Trade-In Program Terms & Conditions

Here's how it works:

  • Review the list of Eligible Used Devices below (also available in the trade-in section that you can find in your bag or on the Product Detail Page (PDP) on meta.com (the "Meta Store") before completing your purchase, to see which devices you can trade-in.

  • Tap "Start Trade-In" on the PDP or your bag on the Meta Store, complete the survey, and receive the trade-in credit value quote. Tap "Add Trade-In." Then place your Eligible New Device in your bag on the Meta Store and buy your Eligible New Device from the Meta Store. You'll receive an order confirmation email with a dedicated section for your trade-in. Tap "Complete trade-in" to verify your trade-in details. Once you've completed all questions about your trade-in, a pre-paid shipping label from our vendor partner Reconext and instructions for packaging and mailing your Eligible Used Device will be sent to your email address. Print the pre-paid shipping label and mail in your Eligible Used Device within 30 days of purchase to receive your credit.

  • Once Reconext has verified that the device you're trading-in is eligible and meets all requirements, you'll be issued the quoted value via a credit to your original payment method. If you are paying monthly for your Eligible New Device, the credit will reduce your number of monthly payments.

  • This transaction is non-refundable: this means that, in case you want to return your Eligible New Device, you will be refunded the purchase value minus the Eligible Used Devices credit value, if the credit has already been issued.

Terms & Conditions

  1. Offer valid in the U.S. only through meta.com ("Meta Store"), from April 16, 2026 (00:01 am PT) until canceled by Meta.

  2. You must be at least 18 years old or the legal age of majority in the State in which you reside to be eligible for this Offer.

  3. Offer valid with the purchase of one of the following products ("Eligible New Devices"), while supplies last:

    • Meta Glasses
    • Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2)
    • Oakley Meta HSTN
    • Oakley Meta Vanguard

  4. Limited edition products and refurbished products are not considered Eligible New devices.

  5. Offer valid when you trade-in one of the following products ("Eligible Used Devices"), after completing your purchase of an Eligible New Device:

    • Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 1)
    • Apple AirPods Pro 2
    • Apple AirPods 4
    • Apple AirPods 3
    • Beats Powerbeats Pro 2
    • Beats Studio Buds +
    • Beats Fit Pro
    • Samsung Galaxy Buds3
    • Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro
    • Samsung Galaxy Buds3 FE

  6. Eligible Used Devices must be in working condition, hold a charge, and include the charging case to properly charge the device.

  7. You can only trade-in one Eligible Used Device for each Eligible New Device purchased.

  8. This Offer is managed with our vendor partner Valutech Outsourcing, LLC dba Reconext ("Reconext") and you will be transacting the trade-in on a Reconext site and will be bound by Reconext's applicable terms. By trading-in your Eligible Used Device, you represent and warrant that you are free to enter into this Offer, that you are the sole and rightful owner of the Eligible Used Device being traded-in, that you are not trading-in a lost or stolen device and that the device is free from any liens or claims by third parties.

  9. Upon completing the trade-in survey, you will receive the trade-in official quote for your Eligible Used Device. The trade-in official quote you receive is only valid for 30 days from the purchase date. Reconext will confirm whether the used device that Reconext receives is eligible and meets all requirements you have reported in the trade-in survey. In the event that (i) Reconext does not receive the Eligible Used Device within 30 days OR (ii) the Eligible Used Device received by Reconext is a different make, model, serial number and/or working condition than what you reported, Reconext will reevaluate it. If the charging case is missing, the relevant amount will be deducted. You acknowledge and agree that, following such new evaluation, the value of the Eligible Used Device may be more than, less than, or of no value compared to the official quote that was conveyed to you. You will be notified by email to your order confirmation email if the official quote must be revised based on Reconext's evaluation of the used device. Please allow 2-3 weeks from delivery.

  10. By accepting the trade-in official quote and shipping your Eligible Used Device, you are giving up full ownership rights to the Eligible Used Device upon its receipt by Reconext. This transaction is final, non-refundable and the Eligible Used Device, upon receipt by Reconext, is non-returnable. You acknowledge and accept that, as a consequence of this, you will only be refunded the purchase value minus the Eligible Used Device's quoted value, if the credit has been issued, in case you want to return your Eligible New Device.

  11. You are responsible for deactivating the Eligible Used Device and retiring any outstanding balances. Any service charges on the Eligible Used Device incurred after the shipping date will be your sole responsibility.

  12. You acknowledge and understand that information you provide in connection with this Offer, including your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, and ESN/IMEI/MEID may be shared by Reconext with us solely in connection for processing the trade-in transaction.

  13. You are responsible for reporting and must pay any and all applicable taxes (including, without limitation, applicable foreign, federal, state, territorial and/or local taxes) with respect to any consideration, revenue, benefit and/or value paid to (or received by) you as a result of your participation in this Offer.

  14. This Offer is not valid on prior orders or purchases, is non-transferable and not valid for cash or cash equivalent. Cannot be combined with other offers, discounts, bundles, gift cards, or coupons.

  15. This Offer may be canceled or modified at any time without notice. Features, functionality and content are subject to change or be withdrawn at any time.

  16. Meta Account, Meta companion app, and compatible mobile phone with Android or iOS operating system plus wireless internet access are required. Software updates may be required. Additional account registration, terms, and fees may apply.

  17. We reserve the right to refuse participation in this Offer if any fraudulent, suspicious or otherwise unlawful actions are detected.

  18. By participating in this Offer, you agree to be bound by the Terms of Sale found here: https://www.meta.com/legal/terms-of-sale/. This is without prejudice to clause 8 above. Void where prohibited.
