您也可以使用鏡子和單位有毫米的直尺來估算 IPD。若有朋友能夠為您測量，過程將會相對輕鬆，不過您也可以按照以下步驟自行估量：
- 站在鏡子前，並手握直尺置於雙眼上方。
- 閉上一隻眼睛，將直尺的末端置於睜開的眼睛上方對準瞳孔中央。
- 直尺維持不動，睜開閉上的眼睛，然後將手指放在直尺上與瞳孔對齊的位置。看看手指下方尺上標示的毫米數，即可得出 IPD 的估計值。
